Why is it Already Wednesday?

I occasionally have troubles with the sequential passage of time! (I am very good at losing track of it, and am sometimes surprised an entire day has passed while I was working on something.) This update is going to be a mixed bag of the good, the bad and the aggravating. (It has been leaning more toward bad and aggravating.)

The Good: I have finished the next chapter of Lord of the Black Mountain! I am also making inroads on chapter seventeen. I had to do a pause due to being overwhelmed by various real life situations. (Annual renewals, some family related sadness, and the holidays.) I finished off a bunch of reviews for NetGalley and will be posting them on NetGalley/scheduling them on the blog soon.

In hopes of making a little extra money, I signed on with Rover.com. I have also been attempting to increase my presence on Next Door. (Which has the same general culture as Facebook–which means they speak a different cultural language from the BBS/Early Blogging Platform/Instant Messaging/Groups and forums crowd than I am used to.) So far there have been no takers! My profile is here.

The Bad: I am having trouble with the new leasing company at my apartment complex. For some reason they decided there were errors in the contract accepted by the previous leasing company. This means that they won’t accept the check from the organization that does my housing voucher. They have also decided they were not accepting money orders or personal checks. We must pay online or via MoneyGram. Problem One: I accidentally went over budget paying off a bunch of microloans I had taken via Affirm. (This is how I pay for clothing, cleaning supplies and so on: slowly and over time.) This means that I will have to take out another Loan. Problem Two: I really, really should have got the cashier’s check when I had the chance, instead of buying groceries. (Though I’m not sure they’re still taking Cashier’s Checks.) Because I am low on money again, because I forgot to pay one of the bills. Problem Three: IT’S BEEN ALMOST TWO WEEKS AND NOTHING IS RESOLVED AND I’M VERY ANGRY.

The Aggravating: Eventually I need to find out why I haven’t gotten EBT this month either. (I renewed in September, got EBT in October. No one got EBT in November, and I haven’t gotten EBT this month either. I am a little frustrated! As one can imagine. I feel stuck and aggravated and extremely stressed!
