I am currently attempting to do an overhaul of the blog! This mostly involves me struggling with templates and page design until I get something that doesn’t look too horrible. (My web page design chops are entirely from the 90s, sad to say.) I took out the buttons for the moment, because I need to redo the pages. I removed the category drop down for the moment, until I can figure out how I want to do that.
I have made some significant changes to the side bars, but I need to make them more alike. I added in a tag cloud, and put in a block for recent posts. The templates are slightly aggravating because when I think I’ve made a change, I look at the page that represents the template, and it is missing stuff. Also, I can’t always tell what widgets and blocks work with my blog/with my current tier. (I am using the free version of WordPress. I should probably move to professional but I do not have the money due to my entire situation for the past couple months.)
With Lord of the Black Mountain, I have written chapters sixteen and seventeen. I am going to be doing a few more editing passes and then scheduling them. I am hoping to get work done on chapter eighteen soon. Hopefully I will not have another stress spiral where very little writing gets done because the hamster wheel is spinning super fast, without the hamster.
As mentioned on Patreon, (hey, have you considered supporting my blog on Patreon? The link is right there in the side bar!) I have plans to do a “live blog” of J.T. McIntosh’s The Fittest. There may also be rude memes, mockery and fan fiction plot bunnies. As one does.

- The Writer Transmigrates As a Sapient Dog.
- The Protagonist reincarnates as a Sapient Tom Cat.
If I write any of these, they will probably end up on Royal Road and/or AO3.
I have plans for more writing posts. Whether I get to them or not is another matter.
As mentioned in a previous post, I don’t can have SNAP anymore, so I’m probably going to be doing various food pantries. This is super annoying! (Most of what I get from SSI goes to rent and bills, I usually can’t afford a month of groceries.) I really and truly wish I had local friends/potential roommates to move in with. (I am at the point where I’d honestly not mind trying the roommate thing again–though at the moment I can’t, because I have a lease/one bedroom apartment. And also, a lack of local friends/potential roommates.)
