This Update is Stalled

At the beginning of the month I had some housing issues come up. This was related to my apartment complex changing hands, and the former leasing company screwing various things up. (From what I am able to understand of the situation.) This resulted in my not being able to pay the rent due to complications involving “welp, I can’t pay online, because the company that helps me pay rent can’t send the check,” followed by “hi, we’re the new leasing company, enjoy your five day notice!” And then, “so you have to pay the entire amount of the rent plus late charges, or else, with the money you don’t have.” (Situation has resolved, and my sister was able to help me with rent.)

So, the stress and trying not to have a meltdown (which leads to even more stress) meant that I was pretty much “brain empty, only screaming,” for the entire month. I did get some writing done, but not as much as I actually wanted to get done. (Most of the book reviews, some meta, and some “memoir” personal stories. Speaking of which: I need to rewrite a bunch of personal stories that I lost because Google ate the the posts when they revamped THAT ONE TIME, and I thought I had copies but I did not.)

Other problems:

Because Evernote’s updates kept eating my notes, I have stopped using it. However, before I stopped using it, I should have done a better job of backing it up/transferring it all to One Note.

I am slightly behind on Ensuring I Have Backups, and in updating Goodreads and adding links in NetGalley. I will get on that, when I have time.

I would super very much like starting to go to Planet Fitness before I lose all motivation to be More Physically Fit. (I am also supposed to be working on Social Skills. Skills that I do not actually Possess.) I am kind of upset still that the wellness program I was in had to remove me because they didn’t have funds and they had to remove all of their SMI (seriously mentally ill) clients.

Due to issues that came up in November, I am having continuing difficulties with SNAP. This will hopefully be resolved Soon.

I was not able to get assistance from vocational rehab, because I didn’t have a business plan. (I would prefer to work for myself as a) the job of job hunting gives me meltdowns b) I do not do well with “prove it!” task simulations for most software products because of anxiety c) I have a number of verbal tics when I am stressed, and have done horribly on every damn interview I’ve been on since 2011 I have stress nightmares because most of the places I’ve worked have set off meltdowns/overwhelm due to sensory processing and cognitive processing Issues.)

Problem for future me: I have school loans, at some point I will need to re-apply/look for assistance concerning them. Still annoyed with myself for Really Stupid Decisions. (I have an associates in web graphic design, but absolutely no coding except for some html/css I was never that good at anyway. See above my difficulties with getting through interviews, filling out applications and so on. The quizzes are pretty much designed to filter out people with my combo of neuro-divergences. And vocational rehab would help with that part BUT would not fix the brain-wiring, or fix the people who think resting bitch face is something to complain about to your supervisor.)

On the other hand, I did finish most of the book reviews. And was able to write out chapter sixteen, though there are probably going to be some revisions, due to potential “time is fake” issues.
