Original
So I’m working on a serial novel and I have no idea how long I can keep writing it. I have written previous serials but they didn’t get very far. One was about someone who was trying to find out what happened to them when they got portaled to another universe and then returned, and what that portaling had to do with their family. (It’s something I’ve mentioned, and I might pick up again.) The other was somewhat vaguely connected to a fan fic. That is, it’s somewhat the companion piece to the fan fic, only with the serial numbers scrubbed off. (This is also something I might pick up again once I do a better job of scrubbing the serial numbers off.)
The most recent one is not an isekai/portal fantasy and is not based on a fan fic. Lord of the Black Mountain is a romance/fantasy wherein there is an arranged marriage that would have been cut very short by assassination if the necromancer being assassinated wasn’t immortal. Now the necromancer is married to the prince who attempted the assassination! I am currently working on the fifth chapter. (My chapter lengths tend to be about 2,000+ words.) I need a pro editor because Grammarly ain’t cutting it.
I haven’t written any other original fic, but I kind of want to write some of the necromancer’s back story after having written some meta about his backstory.
Meta/Reviews
I’ve worked on some meta and reviews and posted them to Patreon. At some point, I will post them to the writing journal. There are also some book reviews I need to do for tik tok. This update in and of itself is a post for my Patreon!
Prompt Fic
Prompt fic is not the same as original fic so it gets it’s own little spot. I am currently working on three or so prompts. (Or rather, I was until just now when I decided to work on this.) I am pretty picky about the prompts I choose and the prompt tumblrs I go to don’t always have the kind of prompts I like. They also tend to have similar themes which can be frustrating.
